FEES & INSURANCE
Beginning psychotherapy involves a commitment of time and financial resources. I want you to have clear information about fees and payment options before deciding whether to work together.

Reduced Fee Availability: I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee appointments for clients with financial need. Availability varies, so please ask if this is something you would like to discuss.
I maintain a private-pay practice and am not contracted directly with health insurance companies. Working outside insurance networks provides greater flexibility for us to determine the focus, frequency, and duration of therapy based on your needs, rather than insurance requirements.
Out-of-Network Insurance Benefits
Although I do not bill insurance companies directly, your health plan may offer out-of-network benefits that reimburse a portion of your psychotherapy expenses.
For clients who wish to use these benefits, I can provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt containing the information typically required to submit a claim to your insurance company.
You are responsible for the session fee, and any reimbursement is determined by your insurance plan. I recommend contacting your insurer before beginning therapy to confirm your out-of-network mental health benefits, deductible, and reimbursement requirements.
I am also a participating provider with Lyra Health, which offers employer-sponsored mental health benefits to eligible employees and dependents.
Depending on your employer's benefits, you may have access to a number of covered psychotherapy sessions. Some plans also allow continued treatment through an associated health insurance plan after employer-sponsored sessions have been used. Any applicable copayments, deductibles, or other costs depend on your specific benefits.
If you would like to use Lyra, please mention this when contacting me. We will need to verify your eligibility and available benefits before scheduling your first therapy session.
Lyra Health Benefits
If you are uninsured or choose not to use health insurance to pay for psychotherapy, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges under federal law.
A written estimate will be provided as required, and you may request one before scheduling treatment.
